It was nice to be able to buy a four stroke gas string trimmer in California. This trimmer seems to run well it is heavier than my old cub cadet. The old attachments like the blower and brush cutter don’t quite fit but can still be used with a little creativity. Installing the head was not as easy as other string trimmers I’ve had and requires tools and two hands. The plastic bump head is a little cheaply made. I have a half acre lot and it seems to handle it just fine.

Great Machine on a Budget

My other 1/2 totally loves this machine. Makes his job so much easy to get done. Looking forward to using the cutting blade that came with it as well. Need to make a stronger attaching clip on the strap though, twisted and snapped while being attached to the machine. Otherwise it's a great machine for the money.

Overall, I'm very pleased with it. I bought it to replace a ryobi that was constantly having carburetor issues and I wish it could take the attachments from the ryobi family, but alas the shaft ends don't quite mate. It's definitely heavier than a typical powerhead, the harness isn't really optional if you plan to use it for more than 10 minutes at a time. The extra power from 31cc is actually pretty noticeable overkill most of the time, but not a real problem. The brushcutter blade is completely useless, it cuts worse than the string trimmer and there's no benefit from its inclusion. I would recommend it for any residential use, but I don't think it's quite robust enough so far for the daily wear and tear of commercial.
