START YOUR SEEDS OFF RIGHT! The potential of a seed is unbelievable! When you think about what can grow from such a tiny seed, it's pretty amazing. That's why it's so important to give them the best start you can. Our Natural & Organic Seed Starting Potting Soil Mix makes it possible to start any seeds you want indoors or outdoors. Our soil blend is lightweight, balanced and specifically designed to support the delicate roots of your new seedlings. What Makes This Soil So Special? Did you know that growing a bountiful garden begins with giving your seeds and cuttings the best start. That's why we are so excited about this organic and peat- free 3-in-1 Seed Starting Mix. First it has yucca extract (wetting agent) for moisture retention. But it's also mixed with organic all-purpose plant food to support early growth and mycorrhizae, one of nature's most powerful growing ingredients, to help promote strong root development. What is Peat? Peat is one of Mother Nature's most important stores of carbon. Instead of imported foreign peat from outside the USA, the base of our soils is made from up cycled plant matter and wood fines from around the United States! Q: I love this. It is now my go yo seed starter. I over bought last year. I’m curious as to if I need to reinnoculate the mix or if tge microbes will still be active. Thanks.
a year ago- A: Hi there! You should still be able to use your seed starting mix from last year. It's best to remove any old plants, roots, and debris, and then you can add compost, worm castings, or other fertilizer to replenish the nutrients. Some people will also sterilize the soil in the sun, the microwave, or the oven before replenishing the nutrients to kill any pathogens. Please reach out to contact@backtotheroots.com with questions or concerns.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Is this good for succulent seeds that need proper drainage?
a year ago- A: Hi Ebar! You can use our seed starting mix for your succulent seeds, but it's recommend to mix any seed starting mix with a coarse sand and pumice or perlite for added drainage for your succulent seeds.
