Not in love with it.

I really like the number of pouches and their positions. My problem is the strap system. I’m a big guy and this belt barely works for me, which makes it harder to get on. Even that doesn’t bring down the rating. What does bring it down to a 3 is the straps that go over my shoulders. They turn up and rub my neck. They don’t fit right and with no padding, it can be pretty uncomfortable. If the straps worked better for me, it would be a 5.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I am a heavy duty Diesel, and CNG garbage truck mechanic for a fortune 250 company. I wear this model apron 5-6 days a week for 80% of my 8 hour shift. Even in the summer months. I used to wear the 16 pocket version for 2 years, (1 new one every 4 months due to heavy use, fluids, and grease exposure). I get 5-6 months use out of the 22 pocket version. It being more versatile, and more material area somehow just works better for me. My wrenches usually wear/tear their ways out the bottom of the narrow single slots in 4 months avg. It would be an incredible upgrade and add longevity to these aprons if kevlar backing along the bottom 4 inches of every bottom row pocket wear added. I have kept a few of the old torn up ones in hopes of having heavy kevlar or similar strength material stitched along the rears for use again. They withstand the enrergy and heat carried by commercial pressure washing. In spite of being sweat drenched daily this time of year the material does not degrade and the seams stay intact. The tearing is through the inner most pocket layer to the inside no matter how I position any sized combination wrench from 7/16" up to 15/16". Bolts, nuts, washers, and hydraulic fittings of random sizes and counts have never torn through any of the reach in pockets. For 4 years (11 aprons) I have kept tire tools, and a pair of med. sized slip-joint pliers in the lower right pocket. Never a tear through. My "Efficiency rating" with regard to meeting the expected "Standard Repair Time" on any job sees me at the no. 1 or no. 2 spot on our company board out of 8 men consistently. I attribute this to my wearing a tool full apron at all times on my shift. No one else does. They come and borrow out of my pockets from time to time though. Bottom line. I don't work w/o one except 20% of the time, year 'round.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great part of my work equipment here at work. the heavy canvas is great. I work with gas detectors and other equipment that needs repaired in the Safety field. I use this to protect my cloths from the unknown materials that come in with it.This has saved my cloths from acid burns and other chemicals that would eat a pair of Levis and turn them very religious quickly. And the verity of pockets help thru out the day holding tools and other testing equipment.Stitching is usually the first to go but the quality is beyond expectation. Thanks guys.
