Overpriced but effective

Serves the purpose and is effective tool for blade removal. Probably could have just used a piece of wood as found on YouTube but this does work as intended.

Why Did I Think I Needed This?

I bought the Arnold Lawn Mower Blade Removal Tool because it seemed like a clever idea. Turns out, it’s a solution in search of a problem. The biggest issue is that it doesn’t really clip onto anything securely. It just kind of sits there and hopes for the best. Every time I tried to use it, I spent more time positioning the tool than actually removing the blade. After several attempts, I found myself asking the same question over and over: What is the actual purpose of this thing? A block of wood works better. A pry bar works better. Having someone hold the blade works better. Pretty much every method I’ve used over the years was easier and more effective. Maybe I’m missing something, but for me this tool added absolutely no value to the job. Instead of making blade removal easier, it became one more thing to wrestle with while trying to get the work done. The good news is it reminded me that not every lawn care gadget is worth buying. This one will be spending the rest of its life in the same drawer as all my other “great ideas” that weren’t.
