I use it unconventionally and it is very effective

I needed a box for a captured semi-feral male cat. I currently use the awesome Breeze system which utilizes pellets and pee pads. This sifting box allows reverse placement of the sifter screen, which allows a space below it for the pee pads. Voila! I have a much less expensive box for a DIY Breeze system that uses pellets and pads. Even if used as a traditional litter box, this system is sturdy, durable, and simple, so traditional litter is better than just filling a litter box and having to scrape chunks of poop and pee.

The arm & hammer sifting litter box is a great budget friendly litter box for multiple cats. It is super easy to sift the waste to throw out. I have used it with multiple brands of clumping clay cat litter with no issues. Cleaning is a breeze since there are not many cracks and crevices to have to clean out - just spray down with a water hose!
