I have had these boots for well over 5 years of daily use. I've relied on them for protection and comfort through various types of construction and day to day use, from roofing to wet and sloppy masonry work, heavy equipment operation and even just mowing the lawn. I've only needed to replace the insoles because they are never designed to last this long, but the rest of the boot's construction is outstanding. They are not waterproof, but are very good at protecting your feet from water anyways. I'm never afraid of stepping in puddles and romping around on rainy days, and I wear wool year round to help with sweaty and wet feet anyways. The break in period was quick and I found them to feel fitted after a week. The shaft is pretty thick and lightly padded. I always have trusted Ariat for my work boots and more, this is a testament as to why. Just an honest review from a proud customer.
