Comfortable but leather cracked

I really like these boots however 6 month after having them and yes i condition the leather, bought the conditioner at the boot store with the boots. I have cracks in the leather on the top my foot. Now I still wear these and have had them for a couple years now. Still comfortable just wish the leather was better. I have a pair of redwing boots that are 14 years old and the leather is still in great condition, no cracks. Had new soles put on them last year.
