API ALGAEFIX algae control effectively controls many types of algae in aquariums and will not harm to your fish or plants when used as directed. You can use ALGAEFIX algae control as part of your aquarium maintenance routine to control the formation of new algae. Weekly doses will control algae growth and reduce aquarium maintenance. CAUTION: Do not use with freshwater crustaceans including shrimp, crabs, and lobsters.
- Add 1 ml. for each 10 gallons or 5 ml. for each 50 gallons of aquarium water. Repeat dose every three days until algae is controlled. Siphon or scrape any dead algae from aquarium. Once algae growth is under control, add one dose per week. Weekly doses will control algae growth and reduce aquarium maintenance.
- Caution: Do not use with freshwater crustaceans, including shrimp, crabs and lobsters

Slowly but surely

When I start to use it, I'm supposed to use it every 3 days. After the first try, I was able to see the solution removing parts of the algae blotches. You can see that some of the stains were removed. Yes it's a very messy and not sustainable fish tank. I tried it two more times, and more stains removed. I'm assuming that this is getting controlled.

After a lot of purchases a got this i will no ho back to the old one the fishes love this so much so what else will I think 🤔 i need more from this brand its a new must have

I love this stuff it works so well. This was the first time I had ever used this brand and I was amazed. It doesn’t take much to do the job. Made my tank better than it was.

Didn't work for me. Killed my plants

I'm not super impressed. This seemed to not affect my fish at all, but did affect my plants and not all survived. The water is clearer, it appears cleaner, but that's only because of so many of the plants are gone. You have to dose it a lot, so if you're not good at doing something every few days/remembering i wouldn't reccomend trying. It didn't work much for my black beard though. I had high hopes.
