Seems sturdy, functional design could be enhanced

Seems sturdy and well made. Assembly was reasonably quick and easy. I'm on the fence about the design of the floor. It's a wire floor that the pad goes on top of, with a plastic tray that slides in on a track under the floor. I'm not sure how that is supposed to work, unless the space under the floor is just a place to store the tray if you're using the pad instead? I couldn't imagine ever leaving my dog in this cage with just the wire floor and the tray underneath to catch any mess. A hinge for the top would be a nice design enhancement. That would make it easier for owners to reach in if they've got uncooperative dogs.
