Be sure to inspect the countertop thoroughly

Ordered this "ship to store" and picked it up, it looked gorgeous upon initial inspection, however once we got it home and removed the plastic film around it, we noticed there was quite a bit of damage, most likely done via UPS during the delivery to store process. Deep grooves and gouges, dents and chips from things like exposed shelf bolt heads it probably snagged while sliding in/out of a delivery truck. Both sides of the board too, so we couldn't really hide them on the underside. Some of them sanded out, but others were far too deep to eliminate fully. Project deadline was too soon to do a return/replace so we just had to make due with the one we got. Couldn't get their online customer derive to return an issue ticket I submitted either to try and get a partial refund for the damaged item. Other than that, the parts that were not damaged looked absolutely beautiful once we finished it off with some natural Danish Oil finish, brought out the natural colors of the wood. Would absolutely recommend as long as you do a very thorough inspection of the countertop before you leave so you can bring up and issues with the manager at the store.
