Works Great with Countyline 1hp Pump

I purchased this hose to use with my County Line 1 hp pump purchased from Tractor Supply (see review). I used the male end to screw directly into the intake port. I also purchased a 1 inch male to male 6 inch galvanized coupler in order to connect a 1 inch foot valve. The 6 inch coupler also provides added weight in order for the foot valve to sink below the surface of my lake. Works great!

NOT for drinking water!

NOT for drinking water! It doesn't say that anywhere in the description of this hose, however, it says it in big bold letters on the package when the hose arrived. Since the hose was special order, I didn't know that until picking up the hose.
With that aside, it is a nice hose. My review is based on leaving out an important detail in the description.
Upon further checking on the website, one of the answered questions shows that it wasn't safe for drinking water. I didn't look at the Q&As because the description seemed pretty straight forward.

The male threads are not standard threads, tractor supply does not carry any adapters that will fit these male threads. It is useless

Not NPT male end.

Male end isn’t NPT. Even on the tag it says 1inch pipe thread. It’s not NPT for sure I’ve tried several different couplings of NPT none will fit. Ended up cutting it and putting a 1” barb and a hose clamp, shame to have to do to a new hose that I paid for with a male end.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Terrible customer service

Called the MFG for customer service..got nothing but attitude. Will go out of my way to not buy from Abbott again.
