Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase Purchased this to save time in spring cleaning outdoors and it works excellent on leaves and dethatching the lawn

Rated 3 out of 5 by from works great, BUT! I used it for 20 minutes before the wheel broke off. Bought new wheels and it works great. Don't buy unless its a great sale " $300 or less". You will need to buy new wheels for it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from its true, wheels break I thought for sure by now they would have fixed this issue, so I took chance of buying one. First use, the thing pulls sideway without raking anything. So added weight, better, but 15 minutes of use and wheel broke just like others reported. Company tried to act like this was not a problem, then another lady told me they had a new wheels for these to replace them. I will see if it breaks before I return. they run on sale in winter knowing you won't be able to use enough to see if it is useful before return time runs out

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Aaahh I haven't used it much but seems to work as advertised. To me it rakes the wrong way, it should rake the same way the lawnmower blows so two jobs can be done at once. Seems flimsy, not sure it's a product I want to loan out very often to neighbors, I had higher hopes, thought it was made in the Dakota's. One wheel broke off the hub already, seems it was only spot welded , the other one is welded all the way around. Not that hard to fix but I thought I was buying a product built in North America but...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good idea but, This rake is a good idea but has a couple weak spots. Both tire wheels broke off their hubs within first hour of use. Tines dig in soft turf too far and bent. Does a fair job at cleaning up sticks. Customer service was very helpful.
Date published: 2018-04-28
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Instructions were incomplete in that they did not provide step-by-step assembly. No diagrams and in complete instructions made very difficult.
Date published: 2018-04-19
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk I bought this around 4 years ago and the wheels break every year. The wheel breaks on the rim around the bushing, it's difficult to describe it's like an internal weld or something, its a spot that you would never think it would break. I only use it twice a year so it's not being used a lot, but it always breaks. The people at TSC have been great with getting replacements but still a process since it's never the same person every year. If you can keep it working it does a great job.
Date published: 2018-04-18
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not recommended Wheels break within an hour. Unit tracks so poorly it only rakes an 18 inch path.

How well does this product work on pine cones? I have 10 acres of pasture in ponderosa forest. I'm tired of hand raking.

The acreage rake is designed to rake grass clippings after mowing.

Will this work for pine needles and cones?

Asked by: Thewoodbutcher
This will work great for pine needles, but if the pine cones are very large it may be necessary to remove them by another means before using this product.

As long as this product is used at the correct speed and in the correct application, wheel breakage will not occur.
