These are my favorite "mom jeans" of the ones I've tried. They're the most cost-effective way for a woman on a budget to have a few staple pieces that do a lot of heavy lifting. They're sturdy, have just enough stretch to keep their shape and keep my shape where it belongs, and the cut is forgiving for my ever-changing midriff (bloat vs. no bloat, thank you perimenopause), and the waist is high enough to not show the whole county my belly, that has stretched beyond recognition by four large human babies. The pant leg is straight but accommodates Ariat boots just fine. I've worn them with anything from muck boots to patent leather stilettos. I've mended and repaired my jeans as I need to, the jeans tend to wear out for me next to the zipper fly and inner thigh, and eventually the button may pop off (I replaced it with a red button that matches the zipper trim). I also dyed two pairs of this jean a darker indigo blue to have something a bit more professional to wear to town. I've tried other jeans, but being 5'10", and still hourglass shaped even though I'm overweight, it seems like most clothing manufacturers just give up, and make them for straight or apple shaped torsoed ladies. The belt loops are wide enough for me to wear my favorite men's leather belt ($4 clearance rack find, also from TSC), and have held up to multiple holster setups over the years. I live on a farm, and have worn these jeans on tractors, in the saddle, crawling in rainstorms with my arm up a sheep's business end, and they come clean in the wash on most first attempts, and don't shrink again after the initial wash has done its job (it is NORMAL for cotton to shrink a little in its first wash, take this into account when trying on new jeans). Peroxide directly on mystery stains before washing can help, but I just dye them when they look worn or stuff doesn't wash out anymore. They do wear out, but my first pair I bought in 2016 are still in rotation. Since these aren't carried in stores, I bought the same jeans in multiple sizes and found the ones that fit and returned the rest at the store without any issue. I keep buying a new pair for my birthday most years. The most recent pair I bought in 2024 is as good as new with a coat of new dye, and I'm back in 2026 to buy another two pairs. Trying to see if I fit in the next size down after some weight loss. I might, I might not.

I have found that Wranglers just don't fit the same anymore. I got these in a 7 slim fit and they were absolutely huge. Not sure if they were marked incorrectly or what the issue was. you could have fit both my legs in one side. Certainly don't fit even close too snug like you see on the models and how they used to fit. My husband got a kick out of it. That was the only up side.

They work well for barn chores. I still have to wear a belt to keep them up, but the fit is better than many other pants. I have a very athletic build, so to get pants I can move in I often have to cinch the waist.

These look great and fit fantastic! This is probably my 15th pair over the years. Only problem is they wear out at the back pockets, probably from pulling them on.
