Good Jean, Unfinished Hem?

The fit is correct. Why aren’t there more options for average height or shorter women? These jeans rest at my ankle. I’m confused at why the hem is unfinished. Being that this is the only jean in this length, it just feels lazy. I could easily buy the long jeans and hack the legs off just the same
