Great for high pressure applications, with care!!!

The high pressure switch really sets this gun apart from the others, it is very useful when grease lines are gunked up, but you need to use it cautiously or you can easily blow out seals or cause other problems. I wish the toggle switch was improved so it was less likely to get switched accidently. If you are accidently pumping in high pressure mode when you think it is in high volume load, then you can end up severely under-lubricating, for example: when you think "5 pumps should be plenty" and in reality it is less than one pump. So I think this gun is totally worth it if you are trying to grease stuff that hasn't been greased in a long time. But I do not recommend it for daily use on well maintained equipment. I hope they add some spring force to improve the selector mechanism, so it stays in place better, and then it could get 5 stars. Also, they should make the tube rod with a notch like the other reviewer stated, so that the plunger can be manually pushed in (especially important if you ever want to load up a half used tube). I look forward to using the improved version one day.

Load the 14oz grease cartridge and release T handle to allow pressure for air removal. Cycle handle until grease moves into discharge port then install stem and tip assembly. Apparently has a high pressure applicator tip so more pressure is needed to push on and off zerk. Port plugs are metric.

good luck purging air

Until today I've never seen a grease gun that didn't have a way to lock the follower rod to the plunger for pushing air out, but this one is it. My local TSC store carries this piece of junk and the lock n load guns that have their own issues. I'm really disappointed in the poor quality of this thing.

When you need more pressure

I recently purchased a used piece of farm equipment that had several zerk fittings that were not taking Greece so purchased the workforce dual setting Greece gun to see if it would solve the problem. After taking the Zerks out and making sure they were not the problem reinstalled and used the high pressure setting to force new Greece into the problem area, worked like a charm.
If you have a similar situation I highly recommended the Workforce Dual Setting grease gun.
