Best batch yet!!!

Just received yesterday. Plan on using primarily propane A little trouble stating first 2 times. Took a couple dozen pulls each time. #rd time tried starting without extending choke and it fired up on third pull. Runs very quiet. I'm happy with it so far. Propane can sometimes be a little more finicky than gasoline. Anyway, we'll see . I would have given 5 stars except for initial starting issue. I would come back here and update later, but I don't think that's possible.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Affordable generator with dual fuel ability

I purchased the iGen 2550FC for use as an emergency generator for use when we have power outage. We live in rural NH and probably average one a month. Even though these outages are usually fixed in a few hours it is inconvenient since we lose lights, TV and Wifi. We have a 20 year old gas generator but it is usually full of stale gas and too much bother to try to start. Plus, we have three freezers in our detached garage remote from the old generator and it would be a great loss if we had a long term power outage. I chose the iGen 2550FC because it will provide sufficient power and we can use it for out home and also easily move it to the garage area to keep the freezers going if necessary. But the big plus is it can run on propane which burns clean and won't get stale. The unit is light, seems well made, starts easily, and is very affordable and has the Westinghouse name behind it. Note: Be sure to pull the choke out, then pull gently a few times, give it one rapid pull, and then push the choke in and give it few gentle and one rapid pull, as per the manual. The quick start manual description seems not quite correct. firm pull.

Yes, I recommend this product.
