Meet the Weaver Equine Justin Dunn Leather Bitless English Bridle. The Weaver Equine team worked closely with Justin to perfect this gentle yet effective bitless bridle that improves communication between horse and rider. By asking your horse to respond to pressure instead of force, this unique design encourages the animal to concentrate on the rider, rather than the equipment. Justin was inspired to create this bitless bridle on a pack trip when all the bitted bridles were left behind. His improvised bridles consisted of a rigged up combination of halters and lead ropes. When the horses behaved perfectly for a 5-day trip with 5 inexperienced riders, Justin knew he was on to something and inspiration for the Justin Dunn Bitless Bridle was born!

Beautiful design, buckles can slide into eyes

This is a really pretty western sidepull, and I love the rope noseband. The buckles are close to the eyes however, and I wouldn't suggest this if you are working with a horse that requires a heavier hand, or to ground drive with as I like to do as it will slide and push the buckles into their eyes. On a soft or well broke horse it works wonderfully.

Best bitless bridle I have found.

I have ridden in hackamores, sidepulls and Bozels. I give my youngsters a break during training and move them to bitless bridles. BUT I want the overall action to be the same as the bits I am using so I am not untraining what they have learned about pressure. The Justin Dunn Bridle puts gentle pressure on the nose so the horse learns to let his nose lead his body. Very high-quality construction - just a darn awesome product!
