Bad product quality control

I bought this chest from an auction house from a distributor that had gone out of business. The chest was brand new still in the box and in pristine condition. I appreciate that since I bought it from an auction house it has no warranty. However, I am sharing my experience anyway. The chest would not open. I then tried a couple of the Internet hacks posted on YouTube as this is apparently a common problem with weather guard products. Nothing worked. So after some persuasion with a large hammer, crowbar, and hacksaw it finally opened. I discovered that the key locking and opening mechanism was not attached to the door latch. Terrible quality control weather guard. Just terrible.
No, I do not recommend this product.
