    Works, but doesn't amplify ambient noise

    Although this is meant to be used in conjunction with earplugs so you can hear ambient noise while protecting your ears from gunshots, like others, I was hoping this could be used to improve my damaged hearing instead. Unfortunately, this does NOT amplify the ambient noise but simply passes it through at about the same volume. I have moderate hearing loss in one ear, so at best, it increased what I could hear by maybe one notch, which wasn't noticable enough to help. That being said, I tested its original purpose with earplugs in and it passed through the ambient noise like a champ!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    I HAVE BEEN WEARING LUCID HEARING AIDS FOR OVER 4 YEARS ABOUT 15 HOURS PER DAY I AM 79 YEARS YOUNG. IN DOING RESEARCH TO HELP MY OVER ALL HEARING AND EXPERAMENTING WITH OTHER OPTIONS I FIND THAT WITH THE HEARING AIDS COMPLETLY INSERTED INTO THE EAR AND THE RAPTOR BONE CONDUCTION THE CLEARITY OF OVER ALL HEARING HAS A GREAT IMPROVEMENT. IF YOU ARE FIRING A WEPON YOU NEED TO USE EAR PLUGS WITH THE RAPTOR
