Not only that, but it also prevents flea eggs from hatching for up to 28 days after application, offering long-lasting protection. Owners will love the baby-fresh scent of this pet flea and tick shampoo, and it's made with soothing ingredients like oatmeal, lanolin, aloe and coconut extract. How it Works
Vet-Kem Flea and Tick Shampoo contains active ingredients of piperonyl butoxide, pyrethrins, and (S)-methoprene, which work to kill adult lice, fleas, and ticks, preventing hatching of flea eggs for 28 days.
Special Precautions
- Do not allow contact with clothing, skin, or eyes.
- If clothing contact occurs, remove the clothing and wash it before re-wearing.
- Causes mild eye irritation.
- Causes harm if absorbed through the skin.
- Thoroughly wash hands with soap and water after use and before using the bathroom, using tobacco, drinking, or eating.
- Keep out of reach of animals and children.
Contact your nearest emergency animal hospital.
Side Effects
Following pesticide use, rare individual sensitivities could occur. If such signs are noticed, use plenty of water and mild soap to bathe and rinse your pet. If signs persist, seek immediate veterinary attention.
Storage
Keep this product in its tightly closed original container when not in use. Store in a cool, dry (preferably locked) area that is inaccessible to children and animals. PESTICIDE DISPOSAL AND CONTAINER HANDLING: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. If empty: Place in trash or offer for recycling if available. If partly filled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
USE RESTRICTIONS: Apply this product only as specified on the label. Do not contaminate food or feedstuffs. THIS PRODUCT IS FOR TOPICAL USE ONLY. DO NOT INGEST. Do not apply to pets (puppies or kittens) less than 12 weeks old. Consult a veterinarian before applying this product on medicated, debilitated, aged, pregnant, or nursing animals. Sensitivities may occur after using ANY pesticide product for pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately. Do not apply more than one time per day.
Vet-Kem® Flea And Tick Shampoo For Dogs And Cats may be used full strength or diluted with 2 parts water. Thoroughly wet the animal with warm water. Do not apply shampoo around eyes. The total amount of shampoo to be applied is 1 1/3 tablespoons for each 5 lb. of pet's weight. Estimate the total amount of shampoo needed for your pet, then apply shampoo along the back of the animal. Work well into coat starting at the head and working back. Spread lather to include head, neck, legs and feet. Continue to work lather in over the whole animal for 3 to 5 minutes (this is an important part of the grooming procedure). After lather has been worked in over the entire animal, rinse thoroughly with warm water. For extremely dirty or scaly animals, the above procedure may be repeated. Repeat every 7 to 10 days, if necessary, for adult flea relief. Flea egg hatch inhibition will last for 28 days.
