- A: Hello IrisR, our 20" floor fan does not feature a totally enclosed motor so it is not recommended for dusty environments such as barns. Our 18" wall mount fan does feature a totally enclosed motor and is designed to be mounted on a wall. This may be a much more suitable fan for you application.7 years agoHelpful?

Q: if there is an heating problem,is the motor housing solid or does it have some holes.if solid you might make some vent holes in casing,or more holes if casing already have some.a lot of heavy duty motors do not have holes and run hot.

Great Stall Fan for Horses!

This fan is quiet and very efficient! The base attaches to the arms of the fan with screws instead of buttons in holes - no vibrating or noise. Was super easy to put up. Very happy with the speeds and the cost!

While the fan works fine, I had to take the front off and attach the actual blade to the motor myself as it was not attached and tightened down at all at the factory, then re-attach the front grill cover.

This is the best floor fan that I have found. The rotation allows easy adjustments that are extremely helpful. It's lightweight enough for me to handle and move around as necessary.
