The Van Zyverden Asclepias Soulmate helps you bring home the butterflies! Asclepias is also known by its common name "Milk Weed", among several others. The garden plants are herbaceous perennials. Tropical plants, multitasking milk weeds attract monarch butterflies that use them as a source for nectar. Monarch butterflies lay eggs on this plant, and in turn, the resulting larvae (Caterpillars) use the plant leaves as a food source. Plant en masse to create curb appeal and to help support threatened wild life. It is very easy to care for, deer and rabbit resistant, and will still flower while it produces seed-blooms all season. Starting with our sizable roots instead of seed, they assure a full season of bloom. It can also be grown as a container plant. Asclepias Soulmate, commonly called swamp milk weed, features pink-white flower clusters atop lance-shaped leaves. It is an immensely popular native plant that is easy to grow and offers a vanilla fragrance.

OK plants, poor social distancing in store

The bare root plants were adequate. However, I got much larger plants for the same price from Breck’s. I ordered online and picked them up in the Brooksville FL store. I was disappointed that none of the employees there were wearing masks or paying much attention to social distancing.
