Van Zyverden Asclepias Hello Yellow will bring home the butterflies! Asclepias is also known by its common name "Milk Weed", among several others. These garden plants are herbaceous perennials. Tropical, multitasking milk weed attracts monarch butterflies that use the plant as a source for nectar. Monarch butterflies lay eggs on this plant, and in turn, the resulting larvae (Caterpillars) use the plant leaves as a food source. Plant en masse to create curb appeal and to help support threatened wild life. The outdoor flowering plants are very easy to care for, deer and rabbit resistant, and will still flower while they produce seed-blooms all season. Starting with our sizable roots instead of seed, they assure a full season of bloom. It can also be grown as a container plant. Asclepias tuberosa Hello yellow, also known as butterfly weed, features bright yellow flower clusters atop lance-shaped leaves. It is an immensely popular native plant. The seedpods are often used in dried flower arrangements, and it is an essential plant if you want to attract butterflies to your garden.
