The younger cat took to this right away, especially the scratcher; hops on it regularly, basing rating on its liking. The older cat seems to regard the new lounger/scratcher as something alien sitting in the place of its usual lounger/scratcher - regularly gives it a kind of "who are you and what'd you do with my furniture" look. It'll circle the new lounger/scratcher then lay down near it and watch it for a while. Might take till February before the older cat realizes the old lounger/scratcher is gone for good.
