Can is a bit better made in terms of the steel thickness compared to other non-mil spec cans. But the lid has proven to be more problematic. For the price they were a good value but I have gotten used mil spec cans that are better made and better in operation than the new consumer grade cans. They do the job decently just not as well as they could.
would still recommend if you are on a budget but just know the limitations.

$8 for ammo cans is a really good deal. I bought 8 altogether. They are really thin and a little flimsy compared to actual military surplus ammo cans but they are still good for storing ammo, which is what I bought them for.
