I bought 2 and they were labeled the same. One was 6 volt and one was an 8 volt battery. luckily we noticed the issue before installation.

Fits. Had several date-code tags on it (last month, six months ago and a bit over a year) leading me to wonder how long it was sitting around. It seems to hold a charge OK, but the voltage never goes up enough/charge current low enough for the charger to switch to float. It may be that the battery is just over capacity for the charger (it shouldn't be, as the old battery was no problem and the charger is spec'd for much higher capacity batteries), but I will see how it lasts.
