Keeps coming unhooked without my dog doing anything

Defective buckle! Constantly come unclasped from my dogs neck. Bought it because the buckle seemed strong and secure and I was not able to unclasped it by pulling or shaking.

It's a nice looking collar, but it's defective. My dog wore it for a week maybe and it fell off numerous times, sometimes just when he was scratching or playing. If anything bumps the buckle it comes off and that poses a safety issue if you're trying to use it with a leash. I attempted to return it to my nearest store and was told they couldn't return it because it had been worn so they couldn't resell it. They didnt seem to believe me that it was defective. It's definitely not worth 24.99 if it's not going to stay on when I need it to.

I purchased this collar on 5-14-23. The collars over all construction was the deciding factor. The quality of the nylon, stitching, the large lead ring, and a metal buckle. It felt soft enough to not irritate my dogs neck, the buckle felt sturdy and like it had very positive engagement. Saturday morning (5-18-24) morning walk about 3/4 mile into our walk my dog stopped to smell something and I heard a noise. The buckle came undone, and her and myself are now looking at  it laying on the ground attached to her leash. I quickly was able to get it back on her, and very cautiously we finished our walk and we’re able to get back home safely without another incident. I returned it explaining what happened, and purchased a different collar from TSC. I feel that this collar  is overall good quality, and with a different buckle would be an excellent product.
