Love this edger. I had and old Troy-bilt edger that was dying. I picked this up because I have the snowblower. The runtime on this is fabulous I have a .4 acre yard. With side walks on 3 sides. This is able to edge it all and only use half a battery.

I bought this tool on a bit of a whim, since it was the 'w/out battery version' (I have batteries, because I have a 60V Toro Lawn Mower) and was 50% off. I really needed a new edger, because my friend trashed my old corded unit. This tool has not disappointed! It was a little tough to put the two halves together (I think I started the connection wrong and then had to try disconnecting - hard - and then reconnecting - not too bad when done right). I was able to easily adjust the blade height by loosening the wing nut and I made sure to check it and the bolt holding the blade several times while edging to make sure nothing loosened up. Everything remained secure during this first use. I'll monitor that as I continue to use the tool over time. I used the edger on the length of both sides of my driveway (~80 ft total) and then along the curb at the front of my yard (~120 ft total). I hadn't done edging in well over a year, but this tool quickly cut through the thick grass and dirt. There were a few spots I had to go over twice and in an area that was a bit muddy (I didn't realize it was when I started) the tool didn't make a clean cut, but these results were expected. I'm 5'3" tall and for me the length of the tool and the balance were both really good. I could see where someone 6"+ taller might find the tool a bit tough to use if they have to bend/stoop to use the tool. I also learned, quickly, that it is best to start the tool running and then plunge the blade into the area to be edge - the tool wouldn't start up if I tried to start it with the blade already at the soil line where I wanted to start edging - I think that was due to how thick the grass was in most areas. Overall, I am very happy with this tool. It was a great purchase at 50% off!

I bought this tool because of my appreciation for the quality of Toro outdoor equipment and the fact that I already had the Toro 60-volt lawn mower, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, and blower. So, it was a perfect addition to a set of equipment that I trusted for quality and performance.

I agree with the person who mentioned that you have to secure all bolts, hardware after each use. Am disappointed with the Toro brand. cost of replacement parts is extremely high.
