Not to Spec?
This did not work for me either. Neither threads fit! Ordered one from another source with the same part and cross-reference numbers… fit just fine. TSC’s supplier either has wrong information or poor manufacturing tolerances! If you buy this for a Ford, you had better have rethreading tools. I took a gamble in a breakdown situation, and lost. Read reviews first if you have the time. :-(

Threads not a match with OEM fittings
I was trying to get a Ford 2000 up and running over a weekend, and this was the only option due to store hours. Should have read the reviews. Originial equipment part has 3/4 IPT threads going into tank (input side), and output is 1/4 compression fitting for flared metal tubing (parallel threads). First new one I bought fit the input side sort of, but I realized too late the output threads didnt match, and cracked the casting almost immediately (pot metal, very weak). New part is not shaped correctly internally for a 1/4 flared tube on the output side. No problem says I, and being a glutton for punishment, and now having lost the weekend, I bought another as it was in stock and i didnt have to have shipped. Same input side, but output threads dont match any fitting I can find - it appears to be 1/4 IPT threads for a standard hose barb, but those dont fit either and only cross-thread. Is it metric threads? Can't find any detailed specs on the website, and don't have hours to spend at the hardware store looking for something to fit. Save yourself some time, and buy from a tractor specialty parts store.
Normally i have had good results with TSC parts, not so this time.
