The dogs haven’t decided if they really like it. I started with one cup mixed with some old kibble. They licked the bowls clean the first two days. Since then they aren’t as enthusiastic. I’m going to give it a little more time before deciding whether to get a refund or not.

I’ve been feeding my 5-month-old Miniature Australian Shepherd, Shadow, The Honest Kitchen Whole Grain Chicken Recipe for a few months now, and I couldn’t be happier with the switch.
What I love most:
Super easy to prepare — Just measure the dry food, add warm water, stir, and let it rehydrate for a few minutes. It turns into a nice, soft stew that my puppy loves.
The packaging is practical — The boxes are sturdy and stackable, which is great for storage in a small house.
Smells really good — Unlike a lot of kibble that has a strong processed smell, this one has a pleasant, natural chicken aroma.
Clean ingredients — Human-grade, minimally processed, and no weird fillers, artificial stuff, or by-products. It matches exactly what I want for my dog (and my family’s clean-eating values).
Shadow’s health & digestion — His coat is shiny, his energy is great, and his poop is consistently firm but soft. He went through the transition smoothly and now licks his plate clean every single meal.
I feel confident knowing I’m giving him high-quality, nutritious food that supports his growth. The price is higher than regular kibble, but the quality and peace of mind are absolutely worth it.
I highly recommend The Honest Kitchen to anyone looking for a cleaner, less-processed option for their puppy or dog. Shadow gives it two enthusiastic paws up!

Tiny Dancer my toothless old lady loves this food. It is easy for her to eat because I can add more water to it and make it more soupy.
