This colorful sandbox features a natural wood and deep blue square design for a bright and colorful addition to your home's outdoor area. This outdoor sandbox includes a seating area above that goes all the way around the actual sandbox to provide plenty of space for both sitting and playing. The built-in rotatable canopy offers protection from the sun while keeping your children cool in the hot summer sun. Made of solid wood with reinforced corners and finished in a weather-resistant stain.

- Measuring 46" x 46", the sandbox can hold up to 300 lbs. of sand, and features a canvas lining to keep sand from fall through the wood frame

Flawed raise/lower system on the roof.

It's a cute sandbox. Relatively easy to put together, and a good size to hold a lot of sand (we put 350 lbs in!) My 19 month old loves it.
My biggest complaint is the raising/lowering mechanism for the roof isn't great. It catches a lot and because it's so difficult to lower the middle beam on the roof snapped so after less than a week I'm already going to have to replace a pretty crucial piece.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Wood is a little soft

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this sandbox for my 6 year old and 4 year old. And honestly for the space we had to allow for it it is the perfect size. The 2 of them can easily play at it together which I was worried about.
It went together pretty quickly and easily taking a total of about an hour to build. My real concern is with the wood quality. A lot of the wood pieces I received were way too soft for the screws I was given. I hand screwed every screw to avoid over tightening and it still didn't help. The screws were tearing right through the wood.
I do love the idea of the awning coming down and doubling as a tarp but the actual execution of it didn't work out too well. Even with my man and I sliding it perfectly in sync it never wants to move up or down properly. And the handle in the middle is almost impossible to use for it. If you can get it to move right though it is a nice feature.
Ultimately I got this sandbox as a sandbox for my kids and it does work as a sandbox. They do love it and it does keep the sand inside nicely. I do wish the quality of the wood was a little better but it's ok for now.
