This worked great and is a life saver if you want to process chickens faster and easier.

30 seconds / chicken is a HUGE exaggeration. It takes about 2 - 4 minutes per bird, when you do 1 at a time. If you put 2 chickens in, it can get jammed and stall out. Then you need to take a bird out and restart it. Also it is pretty much impossible to get ALL the feathers off a chicken. It misses a patch on each bird somewhere, usually leaving about 20 feathers in a 2" round patch on the back for me. It's still nice to get most of the feathers off, but for $400+ i hoped it would get basically all of them instead of just most. The assembly is very easy and the parts seem sturdy. This also jams up with feathers pretty easily. I processed 5 roosters the other day, and their sickle feathers and wing feathers kept getting stuck in the corner and stopping the machine. Even with only 5 birds, i had to pause and take the drum off the plucker to clean out feathers. It appears that whether you get a plucker or not, you will still be pulling feathers by hand - either from the bird or the machine.
