Cranked it for the 1st time…surprised at the power

I wasn’t sure about spending this much money on a leaf blower. But after spending an hour and a half blowing off my 800+ foot driveway I said I needed something different. I search for reviews. (OK, I even ask ChatGPT for recommendations) if I had a smaller area, I would probably get a walk behind blower but because of the area I needed something more. It came in a wooden crate, which was a pain in the butt to disassemble. I highly recommend don’t doing this by yourself as I did and it took way longer. If I had a second pair of hands, it probably would’ve gone a lot smoother. The assembly instructions were pretty good. I had a problem with starting the engine after adding oil and adding gas I couldn’t get it to start. I was frustrated. I called the support line but they don’t have life support anymore. It’s just some AI but we did some basic troubleshooting and then said they’ll have somebody email me. I never got an email. Or a phone call. However, once again, ChatGPT help me troubleshoot. (just for the record I’m not really good with small engines. If you are then you’re all set.) Ultimately, the Emergency stop switch, which was out, was the culprit. I pushed it down and lifted it back up and reset it and boom it started. At this point, I had a ton of Pineneedles and was skeptical. I hooked it up to my Polaris Ranger. I did have to purchase some additional tow hitch accessories but that’s par for the course. That thing blew the heck out of all the Pineneedles in two passes of my driveway now in fairness, I made four passes because my first two were learning experiences after that… I can’t wait to do it again. It took five minutes. Highly recommend this I can’t come in since I just got it just put together if something goes wrong. I’ll edit this review but for now I’m very pleased.

I looked at several brands of tow behind leaf blowers and choose this one for price and all metal construction. At time of purchase, there were no reviews of this leaf blower. The website offers no access to engine and assembly documents to review prior to purchase. I bought it anyway. There is a shipping cost. The crate was delivered by semi. The driver unloaded it to ground level on a lift gate. I used a hand truck and strap to move the crate to my garage. There are two paper documents that cover the engine and assembly. During assembly, I did remove the impeller to put anti-seize on the PTO shaft and shaft key to facilitate future service, if needed. The internal threads of the crankshaft/PTO securing the impeller may have been cross threaded on initial assembly, and would not clean up satisfactorily with a tap. All that bolt does is hold the impeller on the shaft. The shaft key ensures the impeller won't spin on the PTO shaft. Three bolts secure the impeller to a collar at the face of the PTO shaft. Otherwise, assembly is as described in the manual. The engine manual details oil volume (0.9L) and viscosity (10w-30). I used 30w. There is a 12v battery and a pull cord for starting the engine. The engine started easily and has run well. I have about 14 hours use to the time of this writing. Here is the fun part: Even at half throttle, the blower moves leaves thoroughly (could lift new sod) and is very satisfying! There is an adjustable shutter at the outlet. I put anti-seize on those threads also. I would say get it and enjoy less work!
