The Sunheat Mountainaire 6-Stage Whole Home Purifier System cleans the air using HEPA filtration, ionization, photo-catalytic oxidation (PCO) and adjustable ozone generation. The purifier system utilizes a 20KV Ionizer produces radically charged ions that collect particles in the air so they fall to the floor and can be easily vacuumed or swept up. The five fan speeds allow the home purifier system to work in almost any indoor environment between 1,000 to 3,000 sq. ft. The adjustable ozone used by the home purifier system can be used to destroy odors, pollutants and microorganisms in your home. Plus, it's small enough and lightweight enough to fit almost anywhere.

- A: This is not just any old air purifier as it offers super charged oxygen (ozone), an odor filter (carbon, air filtration of 99.97% (extra thick HEPA) and more, however does not offer any dehumidifier properties. Q: Will this purify a two story home or would I need one for each level?

- A: Excellent question! The air traveling through the purifier itself which will be filtered (dust particulates for example) will likely only go through your new purifier on one level. However, if you have the fan on, using your central furnace for example, then you can put the purifier in super charged oxygen mode, place by the cold air return and send the O3 throughout the entire home. If you can imagine the old scrubbing bubbles commercial where the scrubbers go all over, that is essentially what the O3 will do when pumped into your entire home, killing ecoli on countertops, smoke and cooking odors in drapes, pet stains in the carpet and more! - A: Hi, Here is the information we received back from the vendor- "Did you mean the "ozone feature"? If so, this is a setting which can be turned on/off, set to release less/more amounts of ozone as well as be set up on a timer for 30 minutes, an hour or two hours. - A: The SUNHEAT Mountainaire MA4000 air purifier has several ways of removing pet smells, including cat urine. First, there is a carbon filter which takes smells out of the air which passes through the purifier. Unfortunately, this only cleans the air actually passing through the unit. A better solution is the activated supercharged oxygen, better known as O3, the purifier creates with the touch of a button. Rather than just having the air be cleaned as it travels through the purifier, this supercharged oxygen works like little scrubbing bubbles by attacking not only the air, but also surfaces including carpet. The O3 breaks up the urine smell on a molecular level, destroying the makeup of the origin of the smell. While it may take some time (12-72 hours) being used on HIGH with doors and windows closed in an unoccupied room, the smell will eventually go away.4 years agoHelpful?

I am happy with this purchase. It is lightweight, great size, and not too loud. It cleans the air pretty quickly. I have 2 dogs, and you'd never know, except that they jump on you when you walk in.
