A: Excellent question! The air traveling through the purifier itself which will be filtered (dust particulates for example) will likely only go through your new purifier on one level. However, if you have the fan on, using your central furnace for example, then you can put the purifier in super charged oxygen mode, place by the cold air return and send the O3 throughout the entire home. If you can imagine the old scrubbing bubbles commercial where the scrubbers go all over, that is essentially what the O3 will do when pumped into your entire home, killing ecoli on countertops, smoke and cooking odors in drapes, pet stains in the carpet and more! If so, this is a setting which can be turned on/off, set to release less/more amounts of ozone as well as be set up on a timer for 30 minutes, an hour or two hours. A: It shouldn't as long as it is cleaned regularly, a minimum of monthly, and more often depending on conditions. Clean lightly with a soft brush and warm water as needed.

A: The SUNHEAT Mountainaire MA4000 air purifier has several ways of removing pet smells, including cat urine. First, there is a carbon filter which takes smells out of the air which passes through the purifier. Unfortunately, this only cleans the air actually passing through the unit. A better solution is the activated supercharged oxygen, better known as O3, the purifier creates with the touch of a button. Rather than just having the air be cleaned as it travels through the purifier, this supercharged oxygen works like little scrubbing bubbles by attacking not only the air, but also surfaces including carpet. The O3 breaks up the urine smell on a molecular level, destroying the makeup of the origin of the smell. While it may take some time (12-72 hours) being used on HIGH with doors and windows closed in an unoccupied room, the smell will eventually go away.
