this holder is useless. It has Velcro adjustments on the sides that are too low so an average size tape measure is top heavy ( I am using a Stanley 25ft.). It is too shallow so they have a very wide Velcro strap over the top that you have to unstick each time to use it otherwise any movement causes is to fall out. A case of overthinking a basic tape holder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One thing Ergodyne does well is attention to details in design. This tape holder is no acception. It's a good-looking rig, and Ergodyne makes a point to make all specs, capacities and model information easily seen. I use Stanley Fat Max 25' tapes, and this holder fits them like a glove. I removed the original belt clip from the tape to reduce any unnecessary bulk; it was redundant, anyway, seeing that the holder has its own clip. The holder adds a bit of girth to the overall size of the tape, but not so much that it impedes in the easy use of the tape. I suppose that's a fair trade for a well-secured, drop-free arrangement.
