The Sideswipe was purchased alongside a SOG tactical Tomahawk. The Sideswipe is of medium weight but feels more robust than comparable knives. The handle is comfortable in the hand without gloves and is grippy. The blade is suited more for outdoor EDC with decent overall cutting ability for camp / hike carry. Food prep is good but the blade geometry isn’t the best for slicing line an Opinel or Morakniv. The Sideswipes strength is the really tough lockback which is confidence inspiring. The SAT opening was stiff to begin with so not a show off deployment (not fidgety) so not designed for playing with in waiting rooms. It’s meant to be used purposefully.

I recently bought this knife and would rate it a solid four stars. It feels well-balanced in the hand and sharp enough to handle everyday cutting tasks with ease, whether in the kitchen or out on a weekend trip. The handle is comfortable and secure, even during longer use, and the overall build quality gives me confidence it will hold up over time. While there are a few small details that could be refined to make it perfect, it delivers strong performance for the price and has quickly become a tool I reach for often.

Good design, nice looks. It a little hard to get the thumb under the stud to open but with time I got use to it.

This knife is about the quality of something you can buy at a gas station. The action is slow. The blade is sharp out of the package which is nice but it will quickly need sharpened if you use an everyday carry like I do. I like the way it looks but I do not like how it feels. Not a big fan of the aluminum handle. SOG has disappointed me with this knife.
