- A: Liquid can cause problems for tire gauges. You will need to rotate the valve stem to the 12 o clock position, fill the tire with a small amount of compressed air to clear the liquid from the value stem, and then check the pressure. As long as the liquid in the tire does not come all the way up to the valve stem when rotated to the 12 o clock position, this approach should not create any mess or pose any problems for the tire gauge.6 years agoHelpful?
