Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great for hair growth! Not so much for sweet itch. My mare is rubbing the midline of her main off and her whole dock. She's been dewormed 2x, with 2 different wormers, so it's not pinworms for the tail. This stuff really helps the hair grow back quickly, however it does NOTHING for the itch. If anything, this stuff makes her itch more. She used to just scratch the top of her tail, now she's rubbing the whole dock by sandwiching it up against her metal feeder and thus stripping the whole thing of hair, not just the top. Plus it's oily. So if you bathe her with shampoo, so not just rinsing after riding, once a week, which is the only way to remove this stuff from their hair because it's oil based, that oil collects SO much dirt! So my grey mare has a dark brown streak of dirt down her main on both sides of her neck along the top (I only apply at the roots) and then her tail head is also basically encrusted with dirt. Well that dirt is drying out her skin even worse than before the MTG, causing more itching. I also live in the desert, so maybe this isn't a problem for those living in areas where their horses are in box stalls or not near dirt and sand. Oh, and I still have to use Cowboy Magic to detangle because, again with the oil base, it collects dirt and does nothing for detangling. Makes it snarl worse. Thus only using it on the dock and at the base of her mane. Overall, not impressed. Tried it on her legs where the urine splashes so they get that fungus, it's still there. Maybe a darker horse the dirt wouldn't be so noticeable. But she's grey. lol Really wanted to like it, but I'm back to the drawing board. And an expensive waste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Works! We used this for our mare when we first purchased her, as her previous owners had roached her mane after she'd rubbed out a section. Her mane was maybe an inch long like a mo-hawk and within a couple months of weekly applications, it was at least 4 inches long, soft, and laying nicely on her neck. It is oily and doesn't smell the best during application, but once it's been on the horse for a day or so, I don't notice anymore. Can wear rubber gloves if the smell on your hands will bother you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Miracle worker! I have a golden retriever that has terrible skin allergies. We tried everything, even had him tested. Found out he is allergic to all types of grass. We were having to get a steroid shot every month just to make him comfortable. Poor thing was losing large patches of hair, had large welts and red skin. We felt so sorry for him. Then I read about this M-T-G and it has saved our dogs life. He only has had one shot since I started putting this on his red areas. His hair has grown back and he is a much happier dog. He still has the allergies, but this stuff makes him 95% better. The only downfall is the smell. It smells like burnt bacon. So when he has a little flare up, I just get the bottle out and say "its time to put the bacon grease on" and he lays right down, I think it feels good on his skin.
