Which is to say that it doesn't. I've never been a big believer in scents, but I'm as gullible as the next hunter who buys a new product and thinks it's actually going to work this time. I saw a few good reviews for this, and it was inexpensive, so I thought I'd give it a try. I created a couple of mock scrapes in pretty well-traveled areas where I've had successful mocks as well as natural scrapes in the past and put cameras on them to see what would happen. The deer were not interested in the least. They all walked right past them without so much as a sniff. I will give it a second star for the powdered form. It's less messy than liquid scents, and if you spill a bit on you, you don't smell like it for the rest of the day.

Love the fact that it is small and a powder (no messy fluid that can go bad). So far, it seems to work really well - see picture.
