Scala, not the quality it used to be

I bought this to replace the exact same Scala hat I have loved for many years. The quality
of this one is awful. The raffia is very course and scratchy, the size is very large, they send along these foam peel and stick hat sizing pads to apply if the hat is too large. Even using both, the hat is too large! I have a normal size head, this hat just looks oddly big on my head. I want to love it because I love the well traveled, well worn hat that I purchase at least 10 years ago. Sadly I think Scala is just not what it used to be. I'm so disappointed. I'm sadly going to return it and look at other brands.
