The SaltDogg TGSUVPROA 4.4 Cubic Foot Tailgate Spreader features vertical auger assist and an optional vibrator kit (sold separately) that make it a more robust version of the popular TGSUV1B. With a compact size and hitch-mount design, this truck tailgate spreader is a great material spreader solution for an SUV or a 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck. The spreader features a corrosion-resistant 4.4 cu. ft. poly hopper. Its hitch mount can fold away for easy tailgate access and is compatible with 2 in. Class 4 receivers. The tailgate spreader's 9 in. poly spinner can cast #1 free flowing rock salt up to 30 ft. A 1/2 HP, 12V motor is directly wired and is controlled by an included variable speed in-cab controller.Proudly Made in America, this Tailgate Spreader is perfect for Light Commercial Jobs, Residential Properties, Driveways, and Sidewalks!

Had to make too many modifications

Salt flies way too fast - can only use on first speed.
Had to change auger direction so salt would spread, instead of pour out.
Bolt that came with the unit (which attches auger to the hopper) was small and plastic - and fell out twice. Replaced with longer, metal bolt.
Had to buy vibrating motor because if salt had any moisture, it would clump and not spread.
Had to make mounting hardware because motor did not come with mounting bracket.
Have only had the spreader for one month - scared to see what else I need to fix.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Works great, it almost dispenses material a little fast, but even at its lowest setting you still get 12-14’ of spread, nice and even. For the money you can’t beat it
