They like it and that's a positive. Cats who aren't eating well, will eat it, too. I used it for the last 5 months of a cat's life when she had cancer and wouldn't eat anything else. However, the ingredients and guaranteed nutritional levels aren't listed on the individual cans labels, and with good reason. The ingredients are questionable at best. Pork by products, marigold extract. I don't know if it meets certification standards. That's not on the individual cans, either.

I have independently fostered neonate kittens for years. The babycat mousse is great for weaning kittens off the bottle and off milk in general. Downside...so much more expensive than other brands for wet kitten food. I am going to need to change what I offer the foster kittens because of the pricing. It will be harder to wean, but every kitten weans at some point.

We found a 10 day old kitten and once he was ready to be weaned off his bottles, we moved him to Royal Canin Mother and Baby. We started by mixing the RC with his formula into a slurry, then to the consistency of hummus, and now he’s eating the food exactly as it comes from the can. We heat it up for 10 seconds in the microwave. He loves his food, he’s growing well and meeting all his developmental milestones. No digestive issues at all. He’ll be on this food until he’s about 5-6 old and ready to eat kibble and adult food.
