RoadPro CB Antenna Kit Complete W Magnetic Mount and 24 in. CB Antenna Plus 9 ft. Coax Cable

These are really cheap so I bought two as I have two old radios with no antennas and need non permanent mounts for a sedan. The antenna is a three piece construction. Magnetic base (screw here is a male screw, so you can't use other antennas) The main antenna, spring up to the black point with the cone on top, and the smaller antenna end. The antenna end is held in place with a set screw. On one of them the screw hole was improperly sized. It was too large and the screw was able to simply fall out. As well the screw lacks any form of thread locker. This issue prevented the antenna end from staying in place and effected function. I was able to go to a helpful place and find the right screw and some threadlocker and it has held on for a decent while. As well they just feel cheap. If you have ever held a cheap piece of equipment you should know what I mean when I say the metal is clearly made quickly with the least effort put in. For the rest of you, It's like plastic, but metal. The cable and base seem to be of decent enough construction. But again still cheap. I don't expect these to last too long, but who knows.
