Veterinarians may prescribe Rimadyl (Carprofen) Caplets to dogs over the age of 6 weeks old. Rimadyl is an NSAID formulated to control long-term joint pain and inflammation caused by osteoarthritis, hip dysplasia or other joint-related issues. Rimadyl is available by prescription only and comes in a caplet form to be administered to your dog orally.How it Works

Rimadyl is an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) that works by decreasing inflammation symptomatic of various joint conditions. Because this drug is non-steroidal, it is more appropriate for treating conditions requiring long term use.

Special Precautions

Not for administration in cats. Do not use in dogs displaying carprofen hypersensitivity.
