The dogs absolutely love it and it really works. Both my dogs have been shedding less and a ton of hair comes off when I use this tool (and they both have short hair)

I purchased this to replace one I had owned for years (it was a different brand). I wasn't too happy about the price of this item b/c I know I've seen them elsewhere for half of the price but I was in a hurry. I took it home and removed the plastic cover from the blade and was 100% disappointed in the quality of the product. There was no process at all to de-burr the interior edge of the blade. When I tried to use it on my poor Border Collie it just wanted to rip fur out. Fur that was not loose would get caught in the rough burrs on the inside edge and it would pull. My dog hated it and I hated it. I had to get a Dremel tool out and grind off all of the horrible metal burrs on the inner edge of the blade before it would work like it was supposed to. When I can buy a product that works for half the price I shouldn't have to spend 10 minutes fixing the one that cost twice as much before it works as expected. I won't be buying any Retriever brand grooming products again.
