Renakare 2 mEq Potassium Gluconate Tablets are prescribed to pets who have a potassium deficiency (hypokalemia). Low potassium can occur for a variety of reasons, including insufficient dietary intake, malabsorption or conditions that interfere with potassium retention, such as kidney disease. The urine eliminates potassium, but pets suffering from kidney issues can be unable to absorb it from the intestines and stomach adequately. Daily potassium supplementation can improve the muscle, enzyme, and nerve health of your pet.
