We highly recommend though that if toy starts to coming apart to take it away immediately so you don’t have to worry about it becoming a choking hazard.5 years agoHelpful?

Long lasting

So contrary to the negative reviews this has been the longest lasting chew ever. I have 4 dogs that magically share this one chew. A German Shepard, saint Bernard, newfoundland, and a Bernese mountain dog and it has lasted months. It is about half gone. As for people talking about the animals ingesting it...they are kindof expected to. The purpose of this toy was to replace stick chewing and it does just that. So I am buying 4 more for Christmas for my dogs and a few for gifts.

These are all bald-faced lies. My 25 lb dog chewed the entire tail off within half an hour, leaving me a pile of wood crumbles to clean up. Of course, I realize no toy is indestructible, but we have several toys made of similar material that have lasted a long time. This toy is a dud.

My puppies chewed on this for about 15 minutes before I had to throw it out. They were able to bite off some of the rubber from the one end, and were able to bite off some of the "wood". Terrible $17 spent.
