Old formula was great! Cat won't touch new one :(

Adding my voice to the chorus about the formula change. The old formula was great because cat LOVED to eat it--so it was helping with kidneys and making them happy. New formula, they tried it tentatively, but now walk right past it. Would pay more for the old formula, but can't waste any more money on the new one. Very sad about this. And just want to warn others.

My cat prefers it cold

My cat needed extra hydration so my vet recommended these. He's about 50/50 on whether he will drink it or not. Sometimes he finishes it all, sometimes only about half, and sometimes flat out rejects it. I figure some is better than nothing! I've found he actually prefers it cold. If your cat rejects it, try refrigerating the packet for a couple hours before serving.

New Version Detrimental to our Cat's Health

Beware that this product can detrimentally affect cat health as well as the distaste others have reported. Over the past couple months or so I found that our cats were not eating as much Hydra Care and, after a few weeks, were not eating much food in general and seemed to have minor but concerning digestion distress. Through trial and error I found that the original version I’ve used for years with excellent results was discontinued and replaced with a newer version that happens to not be compatible with our cats. I am disappointed that the discontinuance and substitution this formula change was not mentioned by my retailer. Since we use repeat deliveries, I’m now stuck with a couple boxes that I cannot use.

Please bring back the old formula!

We’ve been using Hydra Care every day for two years, and my cat loved it, but after the recent formula change, he developed diarrhea right away. Nothing else in his diet or routine has changed, so it’s clear this new version doesn’t agree with him.
Please consider reviewing the recent changes — consistency is really important especially in pet food/ supplements. I really hope Purina can address this issue.
