Encourage healthy nesting habits with the Producer's Pride Blue and Green Ceramic Nest Eggs. These ceramic eggs help train chickens to lay their eggs in a cozy, safe place, instead of on the floor. The color helps you distinguish real eggs from your ceramic ones, and the strong material helps stop chickens from trying to peck or eat fresh eggs. When hens peck at the hard ceramic egg unsuccessfully, they will eventually cease the habit. Pack of 2 blue and green nest eggs.

  • Ceramic nest eggs help promote egg laying production
  • Encourage hens to lay eggs in a cozy, safe place, rather than the ground or coop floor
  • Excellent way to retrain hens that lay eggs in less than ideal locations
  • To use: Simply place several ceramic eggs in a nesting box to determine if a hen is ready to set; after 4 or more days of consistent setting, switch in the fertile eggs you want to hatch
  • Some chickens will peck or eat fresh eggs - ceramic eggs can discourage this behavior
  • Offered in different colors to help you distinguish between ceramic and real eggs in the nest
  • Can also be used for fun arts and crafts projects or to enhance a country themed home decor
  • Made in China
  • Note: Producer's Pride Ceramic Eggs are breakable

Not worth the purchase

Kind of a silly purchase. Hasn't worked yet unfortunately. Was worth the look on my husband's face when he checked for eggs and excitedly announced there were eggs.

No more broken eggs

These are great for egg breakers. No more broken eggs after putting these in the nest. My chickens lay brown eggs so easy to tell the difference when collecting eggs

Great except they break

They are great to use if you're having birds that stop laying. My only complaint is they break very easily.
